As Director, IT Financial Systems, you will lead the technology strategy and execution that powers critical financial operations across a complex enterprise environment. Accountabilities:
  • Define and execute the technology strategy supporting financial operations, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and long-term business objectives.
  • Partner closely with finance leadership and cross-functional technology teams to identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and digital transformation.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between finance stakeholders and enterprise technology teams, translating business needs into scalable technology solutions.
  • Lead the design, implementation, integration, optimization, and ongoing support of financial systems, including ERP platforms, billing solutions, budgeting tools, reporting environments, and financial data ecosystems.
  • Ensure the integrity, accuracy, security, and availability of financial data while maintaining compliance with regulatory and organizational standards.
  • Oversee financial data architecture, reporting platforms, data warehouse integrations, and extract-load processes that support business-critical reporting and billing operations.
  • Manage system upgrades, enhancements, migrations, legacy system decommissioning, and technology modernization initiatives with minimal operational disruption.
  • Build, mentor, and lead high-performing internal and external technology teams, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Establish governance frameworks, project roadmaps, resource plans, and vendor management strategies to ensure successful delivery of finance technology initiatives.
  • Partner with cybersecurity and compliance teams to implement robust controls, mitigate risks, support business continuity planning, and maintain regulatory compliance.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Finance, or a related field; advanced degree such as an MBA or Master's preferred.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in enterprise IT environments, including at least 5 years supporting financial systems, billing platforms, data management, reporting, and analytics technologies.
  • Proven success leading enterprise-scale system implementations, technology transformations, and complex cross-functional initiatives.
  • Experience managing and developing technical teams, including internal staff, contractors, and external partners.
  • Background working within large enterprise organizations, preferably in environments exceeding $2B in annual revenue.
  • Experience supporting mergers, acquisitions, system consolidations, and enterprise integration initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of financial systems architecture, data integration, middleware technologies, and enterprise application ecosystems.
  • Expertise with ERP platforms such as SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Adaptive, or comparable financial technology solutions.
  • Knowledge of business intelligence, reporting, and data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Hex, or similar platforms.
  • Familiarity with IT security frameworks, governance practices, compliance requirements, and risk management methodologies.
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business recommendations for executive and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, solution design, and change management capabilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to balance strategic planning with hands-on execution in fast-paced and evolving business environments.
