Home Health Care Specialist – Full Time | Chester, NS

About the Role
MacQuarries Pharmasave Group is seeking a knowledgeable and customer-focused Home Health Care Specialist to join our team.
This is a unique, hands-on role that blends patient support, medical equipment expertise, and retail pharmacy care. You will work directly with customers to assess their needs, recommend and fit home health products, and ensure they feel confident and supported in their care at home.

Key Responsibilities
Patient Support & Product Expertise
· Assist customers in selecting and fitting home health products, including mobility aids, compression therapy, and daily living supports
· Provide clear, compassionate guidance to help customers use products safely and effectively
· Build trusted relationships through a patient-first approach
Operations & Coordination
· Manage ordering, inventory, and merchandising within the home health department
· Process third-party billing and maintain accurate documentation
· Support efficient workflow across retail and healthcare service areas
Collaboration & Community Care
· Work closely with pharmacists, healthcare professionals, and community partners
· Contribute to health and wellness initiatives within the community
· Help foster a supportive, team-oriented work environment aligned with company values
Qualifications
Required:
· Experience in customer service, retail, or a healthcare-related environment
· Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-focused approach
· Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
· Comfortable using computer systems (Microsoft Office and point-of-sale systems)
· Professional, reliable, and committed to confidentiality
Assets:
· Experience with home health products, mobility aids, or medical supplies
· Knowledge of third-party billing or pharmacy systems (e.g., Kroll)
· Experience working alongside healthcare professionals or in a patient support role
