Custodian in Boerne, Texas at Texas Star Nut and Food Co Inc

Monday - Friday, Full-time, Day Shift. Starting at $14.85 per hour. DOE.

Job Summary: Responsible for cleaning of the facility, including the plant and office space, cleaning kitchens, bathrooms, floors, etc., as required.

Job Responsibilities:

· Daily cleaning of the office areas and some designated production areas as required by cleaning schedules.

· Ensuring proper cleaning materials are used.

· Ensuring all cleaning materials are stored properly.

· Ensuring inventory levels of cleaning supplies are adequate and preparing purchasing requests when required.

· Daily inspections of designated areas to ensure proper cleanliness.

· Following required personal hygiene (hand washing, hairnets, uniforms, etc.).

· Maintaining logs of scheduled maintenance and documenting the completion of maintenance.

· Completing work orders for unscheduled maintenance, preparing and maintaining proper documentation of all maintenance procedures.

· Assists with repairs and maintenance of the facility as required

· Assists the Plant Manager to ensure the facility is maintained in accordance with Company safety requirements and other requirements established by external governmental agencies or other agencies as deemed appropriate by the company.

· All staff must report any known food safety issues to supervisor.

· All staff has the authority to place on hold any products and/or equipment that do not meet Texas Star Nut and Food Co., Inc. food safety standards.

· Advises corporate management of any situations noted during equipment and plant maintenance and inspections that pose a risk to the company, product assurance, employee safety or customer satisfaction.

· Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

· Must be punctual and dependable.

· Must be able to work with other personnel in a team environment and take direction from supervisors.

· Must be able to comply with all safety and cleanliness requirements.

Preferred Requirements:

· Experience in a manufacturing enterprise

Abilities Required:

· Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.

· Ability to climb ladders/steps and work on platforms.

· Ability to work on machinery and assembling/disassembling machinery.

· Ability to handle small tools and cleaning equipment.
