Summary:

Lead and prioritize Operation Associates daily responsibilities ensuring all operational goals are achieved for output, quality, safety, housekeeping and communications. Direct responsibilities for Operations Associate performance, training, and adherence to company policies.

Essential Duties:

  • Lead position will be as a working leader – perform job functions at Cutting, Assembly, Inspection and Oven/Activation; also, will fill in as needed on other equipment.
  • Ensures work team maintains compliance with all written standard operating procedures (SOP) regarding the manufacturing process.
  • All safety training & compliance including personal protective equipment (PPE) usage and safety risk assessments within his/her process area.
  • Assure compliance with all quality standards related to the process area.
  • Trains and evaluates all assigned process area associates.
  • Provides input and assists the Supervisor with Pay for Performance certifications.
  • Liaisons with plant maintenance for any required repairs and follows up to ensure timely completion.
  • Assures housekeeping, cleanliness and contamination standards are met within his/her process area.
  • Accountable for assignment and direction of operations associates to ensure production targets and quality standards are maintained.
  • Monitors incoming steel, tools, supplies, and other equipment to ensure production capability at all times.
  • Facilitate departmental meetings with oncoming shift.
  • Exercises independent judgment as to sequence and timing of operations associates breaks/lunch.
  • Exercises independent judgment regarding operations associates daily job assignments within their work team.
  • Assures accuracy and completeness of all record and databases collected on his/her shift within the process area.
  • Aid in the startup of new equipment and processes within area of expertise, when directed.
  • Ability to send employees home that commit serious offenses as defined in the Cormetech Handbook, decision must be reviewed with the appropriate member of management prior to taking any action.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED required (post-secondary education preferred).
  • Must have a good understanding of computers and Microsoft products.
  • Must have excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, and excellent oral and written communications skills. Excellent organizational abilities, and self-motivated/self-starter.
  • Expected to gain experience and complete certifications in lead department as necessary

Working Conditions:

  • Must be able to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds weight when necessary.
  • Must be able to stand and walk on hard surfaces for extended periods of time.
  • Occasionally required to climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Work in an environment with high noise levels.
