Director, Solution Engineering - Corporate

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Director, Solution Engineering - Corporate in the United States.

This leadership role sits at the heart of a high-growth, AI-driven SaaS organization, where you will shape and scale a large Solutions Engineering function supporting the Corporate customer segment. You will be responsible for driving technical pre-sales excellence, elevating go-to-market execution, and building a high-performance, customer-obsessed team across multiple regions. Acting as a key bridge between Sales, Product, and cross-functional partners, you will translate strategic objectives into scalable operational plans that improve win rates, deal velocity, and customer experience. This role requires a seasoned PreSales leader who thrives in complex, fast-moving environments and is passionate about redefining how solution engineering operates in an AI-native world. You will also play a critical role in talent development, organizational design, and embedding data-driven decision-making across the team. This is a high-impact opportunity to influence enterprise growth and shape the future of a world-class pre-sales organization.

Accountabilities:
  • Lead and scale a large Solutions Engineering organization, including multiple SE Managers and 30+ Solutions Engineers supporting Corporate customers across North America, while fostering a culture of accountability, inclusion, and high performance.
  • Translate strategic PreSales priorities into clear, executable operational plans, ensuring alignment across managers and consistent delivery against business objectives.
  • Design and evolve go-to-market and pre-sales strategies that improve technical win rates, pipeline acceleration, deal quality, and overall customer outcomes in partnership with Sales leadership.
  • Define and continuously refine the Solution Engineering playbook, including discovery frameworks, demo standards, POC/POV execution, and coverage models across Sales and SE teams.
  • Champion AI adoption across the organization by embedding AI tools into daily workflows and redefining how Solution Engineers create value in an AI-native GTM environment.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Product, Marketing, Finance, and Customer Success to align on priorities, influence roadmap decisions, and ensure a seamless customer journey.
  • Use data, KPIs, and performance metrics to monitor team effectiveness, identify trends, optimize structure, and drive continuous operational improvement.
  • Hire, develop, and retain top talent, building a scalable and future-ready PreSales organization with strong leadership pipelines and succession planning.
Requirements
  • 4+ years of second-line leadership experience managing PreSales or Solutions Engineering teams within a high-growth SaaS or platform organization.
  • Proven expertise in Corporate and/or Enterprise B2B segments with a strong understanding of complex sales cycles and technical buying processes.
  • Demonstrated success in building, scaling, and optimizing go-to-market and pre-sales strategies in fast-paced, evolving environments.
  • Strong track record of driving AI adoption within teams, including hands-on use of AI tools and embedding AI-enabled workflows into day-to-day operations.
  • Excellent analytical and data-driven decision-making skills, with experience using KPIs and performance metrics to shape strategy and execution.
  • Strong leadership capabilities with proven ability to coach, develop, and inspire managers and high-performing technical teams.
  • Exceptional communication and executive presence, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and cross-functional partners.
  • Ability to operate effectively in ambiguous environments with a strong bias for action and outcome-oriented thinking.
  • Deep expertise in PreSales methodologies including discovery, demos, solution design, and technical evaluation processes.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience.
Benefits
  • Competitive annual cash compensation ranging from $265,000 to $424,000 USD, depending on experience, skills, and location.
  • Eligibility for bonus, commission, and/or on-target earnings (OTE) depending on role structure.
  • Potential equity awards in the form of restricted stock units (RSUs) for eligible positions.
  • Comprehensive health benefits including medical, dental, vision, life, and disability coverage.
  • Flexible work environment supporting both remote and hybrid arrangements depending on role and team needs.
  • Paid time off, parental leave, and wellness support programs.
  • Retirement savings options and financial well-being resources.
  • Strong emphasis on professional development, leadership growth, and internal mobility opportunities.
  • Inclusive, transparent, and high-performance culture focused on customer success and continuous learning.
  • Opportunities to shape the future of AI-driven pre-sales transformation at scale.
