About NBI
NBI offers specialized psychological assessment and treatment services for children, adolescents, and adults at multiple locations in South Florida. NBI provides outpatient and intensive treatment, including an internationally recognized intensive treatment program for Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD), Severe Anxiety, and Related Disorders. These programs are often provided in combination with NBI Ranch, our nearby residential support program.

Job Summary
The parent and family therapist will provide mental health services to families, couples, individuals, and groups in a collaborative team model. Patients are children, adolescents, and adults.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Provide CBT-based treatment to parents, families, individuals, and groups, with a special focus on parent training and family therapy supporting the functioning of the identified patient.
- Perform intake and needs assessments for individuals and family members through interviews, observations, and data collection.
- Participate in the development, implementation, and assessment of treatment programs for each patient.
- Maintain electronic case records that are in accordance with HIPAA guidelines and other federal and state regulations.
- Participate in clinical team meetings on a weekly basis.

Required Experience and Education:
- Masters or Doctoral Degree in Psychology or related field.
- Candidates must have one of the following valid licenses from the state of Florida: Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), or Licensed Clinical Psychologist (Psy.D. or Ph.D.). Licensed clinical social workers (LCSW) may also be considered for this position based on experience.
- Demonstrable experience as a family therapist and/or parent coach.
- Experience treating OCD and other anxiety-related disorders using CBT.
- Bilingual preferred.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Excellent verbal/written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and be able to establish rapport with patients/families/parents.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with other mental health professionals in providing high quality mental health services.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Must be flexible and able to adapt to change easily.
- Ability to read and understand clinical reports and professional literature.
- Must honor the confidentiality of all interactions with patients.
