Job Description

JOB SUMMARY


As a Maintenance Technician, you'll help keep our manufacturing equipment operating safely and reliably through preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, takes a practical approach to problem solving, and takes pride in keeping things running the way they should.



ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Perform routine inspections of machinery and equipment to identify and respond to signs of malfunctions
  • Conduct tests to ensure proper machine functionality
  • Complete preventative maintenance to reduce equipment failures and downtime
  • Diagnose mechanical and electrical equipment malfunctions
  • Repair machinery and equipment using appropriate tools and techniques
  • Replace worn or damaged parts as needed
  • Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and emergency maintenance requests
  • Maintain accurate maintenance and repair records
  • Follow all safety and environmental policies and procedures
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
  • Perform other duties as required



EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE


  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Previous experience as a Maintenance Technician in a manufacturing environment required
  • Experience maintaining powder coating paint systems preferred
  • Experience repairing CNC equipment preferred
  • Experience repairing welding equipment preferred



QUALIFICATIONS

  • Working knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems used in manufacturing equipment
  • Ability to diagnose equipment issues and perform repairs
  • Proficiency using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to prioritize work and respond effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to work first shift (6AM – 3PM)
  • Ability to work weekends and overtime as needed
  • 0-2 years equipment repair experience

The employee is regularly required to lift up to 50 pounds and occasionally required to lift up to 100 pounds (assistance available), and regularly required to operate and maneuver heavy components with material handling devices. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.


WORK ENVIRONMENT


The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this position, the employee regularly works in a manufacturing environment and is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts, electrical equipment, vibration, fumes or airborne particles, and varying temperatures. The employee may occasionally be exposed to outside weather conditions, toxic or caustic chemicals, and the risk of electrical shock. Appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) is required. Noise levels are frequently loud due to operating machinery and manufacturing equipment.
