This leadership role is responsible for shaping and scaling a growing fulfillment network through strategic expansion and operational optimization.
You will lead the development of new warehouse facilities while improving the performance, capacity, and efficiency of existing locations.
The position combines large-scale infrastructure planning, facility design, vendor management, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Accountabilities:

The Head of Warehouse Network Expansion and Facilities will own the strategy and execution of facility growth initiatives while ensuring existing sites operate at maximum efficiency. This role requires strong project leadership, analytical thinking, and the ability to manage complex infrastructure programs involving multiple internal and external stakeholders.

  • Lead end-to-end fulfillment center launches, managing timelines, milestones, stakeholder alignment, and execution from initial planning through operational go-live.
  • Oversee facility setup, including warehouse layouts, infrastructure planning, and installation of material handling equipment to optimize workflow and productivity.
  • Manage relationships with contractors, equipment suppliers, real estate partners, and executive stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Develop network capacity forecasts by analyzing storage requirements, growth trends, seasonal demand, and future operational needs.
  • Lead redesign and optimization projects for existing warehouse spaces to improve capacity, efficiency, and operational flow without disrupting daily operations.
  • Establish and manage preventive maintenance programs across facilities, including monitoring equipment reliability, inspections, HVAC systems, safety systems, and operational uptime.
  • Partner with safety and engineering teams to maintain compliance with operational, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
  • Analyze facility performance data and identify opportunities to reduce costs, improve productivity, increase storage capacity, and enhance delivery capabilities.
  • Drive enterprise-level improvement initiatives by creating business cases, managing execution plans, and measuring operational impact.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate brings experience in fulfillment operations, facility expansion, and large-scale project management. This role requires a strategic yet hands-on leader who can manage ambiguity, solve complex operational challenges, and collaborate effectively with diverse teams.

  • 5+ years of experience in fulfillment center operations, warehouse operations, or program management.
  • 5+ years of negotiation experience, with commercial real estate experience preferred.
  • Proven experience managing enterprise projects involving multiple stakeholder groups and cross-functional teams.
  • Strong knowledge of space planning, labor modeling, process improvement, and operational optimization.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with experience using data to support forecasting and optimization decisions.
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity, prioritize effectively, and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Self-driven approach with the ability to operate independently and take ownership of strategic initiatives.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience with commercial real estate, including lease negotiations or facility expansion projects, is a plus.
