Installation Manager - SAG Flooring Operations in Saginaw, Michigan at Showplace Flooring Holdco, LLC

We are seeking an experienced Installation Manager to lead and oversee all aspects of our flooring installation operations. This role is responsible for managing installation crews, coordinating schedules, ordering materials, supporting warehouse operations, ensuring exceptional customer experiences, and maintaining installation quality standards.

The Installation Manager serves as the primary operational leader for all carpet, luxury vinyl plank (LVP), laminate, and hardwood flooring projects from post sale through completion.

This position reports directly to the Branch Manager and plays a critical role in delivering outstanding customer service while ensuring efficient, profitable operations.

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Key Responsibilities

Installation Operations:

• Manage daily installation schedules and crew assignments
• Coordinate installation timelines to ensure on-time project completion
• Monitor installation capacity and workforce utilization
• Oversee all flooring installations including: Carpet, Luxury Vinyl Plank (LVP), Laminate, Hardwood
• Ensure installation quality standards are consistently met
• Conduct jobsite inspections and quality control reviews
  
  

Crew Management:

• Lead, support, and manage installation crews
• Recruit, onboard, and train installers as needed
• Conduct performance evaluations and coaching
• Ensure crews comply with company policies and installation standards
• Manage installer schedules, productivity, and accountability
• Resolve installer issues and field challenges
  
  

Materials & Warehouse Coordination:

• Review sold jobs for material accuracy
• Coordinate material ordering and delivery schedules
• Manage staging and preparation of materials for upcoming installations Pull and organize materials from warehouse inventory
• Verify materials prior to installation
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate replenishment
  
  

Customer Experience:

• Serve as the primary escalation point for installation-related concerns
• Communicate proactively with customers regarding project timelines
• Resolve customer issues professionally and efficiently
• Ensure customer satisfaction throughout the installation process
• Conduct follow-up inspections when necessary
  
  

Measuring & Quality Assurance:

• Coordinate and complete pre job site measures
• Review measurements and installation requirements
• Verify job readiness prior to scheduling installations
• Ensure proper documentation of field conditions
• Identify potential installation challenges before work begins
  
  

Qualifications

Required:

• Flooring industry experience
• Strong knowledge of carpet, LVP, laminate, and hardwood installations
• Experience coordinating multiple projects simultaneously
• Strong organizational and scheduling skills
• Excellent communication and customer service abilities
• Ability to resolve conflicts and manage difficult situations professionally
• Proficiency with computers and business software systems

Preferred:

• Previous experience managing installation crews
• Hands-on flooring installation experience
• Experience with warehouse operations and inventory management
• Experience using ERP or scheduling software
• Experience with flooring estimating and measurement processes
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
