Demand Marketing Specialist - 12 month contract

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, which manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Demand Marketing Specialist – 12-Month Contract based in Canada.

Overview

Join a growing software organization and contribute to demand generation initiatives that drive business growth and support global go-to-market strategies. As a Demand Marketing Specialist, you will help plan, execute, and optimize integrated marketing campaigns that generate qualified leads and strengthen the sales pipeline. You will collaborate closely with marketing leaders, sales teams, and cross-functional stakeholders to deliver scalable, results-oriented programs. From managing email nurture campaigns and coordinating webinars to developing marketing assets and analyzing campaign performance, you will play a key role in ensuring effective execution. This position offers an opportunity to combine creativity, analytical thinking, and project management in a dynamic, collaborative environment. The role is fully remote, with occasional visits to the headquarters in North York, Ontario, potentially required. Accountabilities
  • Demand Generation Strategy and Execution: Support demand generation leaders in developing and implementing strategic and tactical marketing plans, programs, and campaigns aligned with global go-to-market objectives.
  • Campaign Management: Coordinate the planning, execution, and optimization of marketing campaigns, ensuring projects are delivered on time and aligned with business priorities.
  • Marketing Asset Development: Create campaign assets and maintain internal campaign resource centers, ensuring marketing materials are accessible, organized, and ready for use.
  • Webinar and Event Coordination: Manage webinar-related projects and support the operational execution of marketing events, ensuring smooth coordination and effective delivery.
  • Email Marketing and Nurture Programs: Develop, implement, and manage email campaigns and nurture streams using marketing automation platforms to support prospect engagement and sales conversion.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with sales and marketing stakeholders to align campaigns with sales objectives, coordinate execution, and communicate program details and results.
  • Campaign Performance Analysis: Monitor campaign metrics, evaluate lead quality, analyze results, and identify opportunities to improve campaign effectiveness, lead generation, and pipeline contribution.
  • Continuous Optimization: Develop and implement tactics to ensure a consistent flow of qualified sales leads while refining marketing programs based on performance insights.
  • Market and Opportunity Research: Research potential marketing opportunities, including events, sponsorships, and emerging technologies, to identify new ways to reach target audiences.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Share campaign updates, performance insights, and recommendations with relevant stakeholders, while supporting additional marketing initiatives as assigned by leadership.
Requirements
  • Professional Experience: 2–4 years of experience in B2B marketing, preferably in demand generation, field marketing, event marketing, or a related discipline.
  • Marketing Automation: Hands-on experience developing and managing email campaigns and nurture workflows through marketing automation platforms such as Marketo.
  • Campaign Management: Experience coordinating marketing programs, managing multiple projects simultaneously, and ensuring timely execution across competing priorities.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical capabilities, with the ability to interpret campaign data, synthesize information from multiple sources, and make informed recommendations to improve marketing performance.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written, verbal, and visual communication skills, including the ability to present ideas, share results, and lead discussions with diverse audiences.
  • Organization and Attention to Detail: Strong organizational and project management skills, with a demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks, maintain accuracy, and consistently meet deadlines.
  • Initiative and Independence: A proactive, self-motivated approach, with the ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a collaborative, matrixed marketing organization.
  • Collaboration and Stakeholder Management: Ability to build productive working relationships across marketing, sales, and other business functions to support shared objectives.
  • Adaptability and Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to respond effectively to changing business needs, campaign priorities, and operational challenges.
  • Work Arrangement: Comfortable working remotely in Canada and available for occasional visits to the headquarters in North York, Ontario, if required.
