Patient Account Specialist in at DataDeletionTarget

Responsibilities include:

• Answer inbound patient calls to provide information and answer any questions patients may have regarding their bill

• Monitor outstanding patient AR

• Follow up with patients to collect outstanding balances

• Process patient payments

• Establish payment plans

• Review and understand the patient explanation of benefits (EOBs) and insurance explanation of payments (EOPs)

• Meet performance goals and accomplish tasks in a timely manner

• Research, re-verify and resolve issues as needed

• Communicate to patients and management in an effective and timely manner

• Other various tasks as assigned

Qualifications Required:

• 1-3 years of healthcare collections and customer service

• Gastroenterology and Pathology billing experience a plus

• Superior written and oral communication skills

• Ability to work independently and within a team

• Ability to multi-task, prioritize and meet expected deadlines

• Solid understanding of insurance benefits and coverages

• Knowledge of HIPAA compliance rules and regulations

• Exhibit professionalism and exemplary customer service skills

• Strong computer skills (Word, Excel, billing software)
