Job Summary

An Automotive Sales Consultant is responsible for assisting customers through the vehicle purchasing process by understanding their needs, presenting suitable options, and delivering excellent customer experience. This role combines product knowledge, communication skills, and relationship-building to drive sales and customer satisfaction. This person will work directly with the sales team and report to the Variable Sales Management Team directly.

Key Responsibilities

Greet customers and determine their vehicle needs, preferences, and budgetPresent and demonstrate new and used vehicles, highlighting features and benefitsConduct test drives and answer customer questions clearly and professionallyNegotiate pricing, trade-in values, and financing options in collaboration with managementComplete required sales documentation accurately and efficientlyFollow up with customers after sales to ensure satisfaction and build long-term relationshipsMaintain up-to-date knowledge of vehicle inventory, features, and promotionsMeet or exceed individual and dealership sales goalsMaintain a clean, organized showroom and vehicle display areaAdhere to dealership policies, ethical standards, and local regulations

Qualifications & Skills

High school diploma or equivalent (college coursework preferred)Previous sales or customer service experience (automotive sales preferred)Strong communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to build trust and rapport with customersBasic computer and CRM system skillsValid driver’s license with a clean driving recordSelf-motivated, goal-oriented, and reliableAbility to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
