Job Description

Description:

As a Host at FARMSHOP, you will play a vital role in creating exceptional guest experiences - warmly greeting guests, managing reservations, and ensuring seamless seating arrangements in alignment with our commitment to hospitality and service excellence.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Warmly greet and welcome guests upon arrival.
  • Manage reservations and seating assignments, keeping the reservations platform up to date.
  • Communicate with back of house and serving staff to ensure smooth table transitions.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the hostess station and lobby area.
  • Address guest concerns and help optimize guest satisfaction.
  • Maintain a professional demeanor and uphold Farmshop's hospitality standards.
  • Available to work weekends and holidays as required.
Requirements:

Skills/Abilities:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous hosting or customer service experience preferred; Toast POS and OpenTable experience a plus.
  • Food handler certification required.
  • RBS (Responsible Beverage Service) certification required.
  • Excellent verbal/written communication and customer service skills.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask.
  • Ability to work in a high-paced, at times stressful, environment.
  • Ability to frequently lift, move, and/or push up to 35 pounds.
  • Able to work indoors and outdoors as needed.
  • Flexible schedule availability, including weekdays, weekends, holidays, and nights.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or authorized to work in the United States.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Previous experience in a hosting or customer service role is preferred.
  • Experience using Toast POS and OpenTable is a plus.
  • Food hander certification is required.
  • RBS (Responsible Beverage Service) certification required.
