Job Summary:
The Operations Support Specialist provides flexible, cross-functional support across all areas of operations, including compounding, shipping, receiving, and material handling. This role is responsible for maintaining production flow, supporting team members during peak demand or staffing gaps, and ensuring all work is performed in compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), safety standards, and company procedures. This position is critical to maintaining operational continuity and reducing downtime across the production floor.
Supervisory Responsibilities: None.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Provide backup support across compounding, shipping, receiving, and material handling functions based on business needs.
- Follows and adheres to forklift operating/safety guidelines and notifies direct supervisor of any issues/concerns with equipment.
- Maintains cleanliness of the designated production area, including removing skids of cardboard and trash bags by end of the shift.
- Completes the sweeping and operation of the floor scrubber to maintain the cleanliness Buildings 2 and 3 as well as in any area assigned by the immediate supervisor.
- Move materials, components, and finished goods between production and warehouse areas.
- Transfer all finished goods, open stock, and components in the manufacturing area to a staging location.
- Stage materials and replenish supplies to prevent production delays and bottleneck.
- Assist fill line operators with fill line production and equipment as needed.
- Collaborates with Material Handling Specialist to ensure all posted finished goods and open stock are tagged and released to shipping.
- Loads/unloads tote tilters with Bulk totes as needed in absence of the Material Handling Specialist.
- Utilizes pallet wrapper to secure the pallet of finished goods before staging in absence of the Material Handling Specialist.
- Support batch production by following formulas, recipes, and manufacturing instructions in absence of a Chemical Compounder.
- Maintain the cleanliness of tanks, blenders, totes, barrels, buckets, pumps, and misc. tools in the absence of the Utility Specialist.
- Responsible for unloading all inbound deliveries of all components/chemicals (bottles, boxes, caps, labels, tubes, etc.) in absence of Receiving & Inventory Specialist.
- Pick and pack inventory as listed on orders in absence of a Shipping Specialist.
- Follow all GMP, safety, and company policies in all assigned tasks.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment at all times.
- Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow all safety guidelines.
- Assist with cleaning production areas, equipment, and removing waste as needed .
- Step into different roles or departments with minimal notice to support production needs.
- Communicate with supervisors and team members regarding production status or issues.
- Participate in team meetings, huddles, and continuous improvement efforts.
- Initiate and/or update standard operating procedures in conjunction with other team members to assure that all current departmental procedures are fully documented.
- Participate in performance reviews with supervisor.

Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent.
At least one (1) year of manufacturing or warehouse experience preferred.
Experience operating production equipment or material handling equipment is a plus.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move throughout the facility for extended periods.
Ability to perform repetitive tasks and operate production equipment.
Work Environment:
Work performed in a manufacturing and warehouse setting.
Exposure to noise, chemicals, dust, and moving machinery.
Temperature variations depending on production area.
