We are seeking an experienced Administrative Services Manager (Grant Manager) to support a leading public sector organization in Nashville, TN. This hybrid, long-term contract role is ideal for professionals with experience in grant management, budgeting, financial reporting, compliance, contract administration, and program coordination.
The selected candidate will oversee the complete grant lifecycle—from application development and award implementation to budget monitoring, reporting, compliance, and grant closeout—while collaborating with leadership, fiscal teams, procurement, and external funding agencies.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and coordinate federal grant applications from review through submission.
- Develop project timelines, track deliverables, and ensure submission deadlines are met.
- Coordinate grant budgets, budget justifications, and financial documentation.
- Review award terms and manage post-award implementation activities.
- Monitor grant expenditures, prepare financial reports, and support budget forecasting.
- Analyze spending trends, identify discrepancies, and coordinate corrective actions.
- Maintain grant documentation and ensure audit readiness.
- Coordinate contracts, procurement activities, travel requests, and funding approvals.
- Prepare and submit required programmatic and financial reports.
- Manage grant closeout activities, including final reporting and documentation.
- Collaborate with program leadership, finance, procurement, and compliance teams.
- Lead meetings, track action items, and communicate project status to stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and organizational grant requirements.
- Experience in grant management, grant administration, budgeting, accounting, or contract management.
- Experience interpreting federal grant requirements, funding awards, and reporting guidelines.
- Strong financial analysis and budget monitoring experience.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Experience preparing financial reports and expenditure tracking.
- Strong organizational and project coordination skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Experience supporting federal or state-funded programs.
- Knowledge of grant compliance and audit preparation.
- Experience coordinating cross-functional teams.
- Familiarity with procurement and contract administration.
- Experience maintaining grant documentation and reporting calendars.
