International Buyer in MORGAN HILL, California at Lin Engineering Inc

We are looking for a sharp, organized International Buyer who thrives in a fast-paced environment, communicates with clarity, and keeps multiple priorities moving at once. If you have managed overseas supplier relationships and love solving procurement problems, we want to hear from you.

What You Will Do

• Manage the full PO lifecycle – Create, track, and maintain purchase orders from requisition through receipt, resolving discrepancies quickly and accurately.
• Own overseas supplier relationships – Lead weekly calls with international suppliers, manage delivery commitments, and drive 2–5% cost reductions through negotiation.
• Keep inventory moving – Monitor stock levels, process commercial invoices, match packing slips, and coordinate shipments across domestic and international channels.
• Track and improve supplier performance – Monitor on-time delivery and quality metrics, flag issues early, and hold vendors to clear expectations.
• Handle engineering changes and samples – Process engineering change notifications, manage sample POs, and support qualification documentation from start to finish.

Compensation & Schedule

• Salary: $70,000 – $98,000 annually, based on experience
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (occasional overtime for overseas coordination)
• Location: On-site — Morgan Hill, CA

Required Qualifications

• Proven multitasker — able to juggle POs, supplier calls, shipments, and discrepancies simultaneously
• Overseas procurement experience — managed international supplier relationships and understands cross-border sourcing
• Clear communicator — writes and speaks directly, asks the right questions, and closes the loop without being chased
• Logical problem-solver — able to trace and resolve quantity discrepancies, invoice mismatches, and missed delivery dates
• SAP proficiency — comfortable maintaining the buyer workbench and processing transactions in SAP

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• Experience negotiating international contracts and driving cost reductions
• Comfortable working across time zones when needed
