As we invest in a modern ERP platform, we're looking for an experienced manufacturing planning professional who enjoys solving complex production challenges, improving manufacturing performance, and building systems that help an organization grow.About FCCFCC Commercial Furniture is a privately held manufacturer in Roseburg, Oregon with approximately 150 employees, including more than 100 in manufacturing. We manufacture nearly everything on the customer-facing side of a quick-service restaurant in a complex, high-mix, primarily make-to-order environment.
Leadership is accessible, employee tenure is exceptionally high, and this newly created position reflects FCC's commitment to making planning a competitive advantage.Why This Opportunity Is Different• Newly created strategic position—not a replacement.
• Strategic individual contributor responsible for leading FCC's manufacturing planning function across Production, Purchasing, Engineering and Customer Service.
• Build a planning function rather than inherit one.
• Partner directly with the Production Manager.
• Independently establish production priorities based on customer commitments and manufacturing capacity.
• Help ensure planning enables the success of FCC's next-generation ERP platform.Position SummaryThe Manufacturing Planning Manager is a strategic individual contributor responsible for building, leading, and continuously improving FCC's manufacturing planning function. This position provides functional leadership across production planning, capacity planning, MRP, planning master data, and ERP readiness while partnering closely with Production, Purchasing, Engineering, Customer Service, and company leadership to improve manufacturing performance.What You'll Accomplish• Establish a modern manufacturing planning process.
• Develop capacity-based planning and production visibility.
• Own MRP and planning master data.
• Improve production availability communication.
• Support ERP planning configuration.
• Improve throughput, planning accuracy and on-time delivery.
• Position planning as a trusted business function and competitive advantage.Required Qualifications• 5+ years of manufacturing planning, production planning or master scheduling experience.
• ERP/MRP experience.
• Knowledge of BOMs, routings, capacity planning and scheduling.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Proven ability to influence and lead cross-functional initiatives without direct authority.Preferred Qualifications• High-mix discrete manufacturing.
• ERP implementation participation.
• APICS/ASCM certification.
• Lean or continuous improvement experience.Compensation & Benefits$95,000–$125,000 DOE
