We're currently seeking an Internal Service Advisor to support our Used Vehicle Department at our brand-new Chevrolet facility in Brunswick, Maine. This role is essential to keeping our reconditioning process running efficiently. You'll work closely with our used vehicle managers, technicians, and parts department to ensure every vehicle moves through the shop quickly and accurately so it's ready for sale as soon as possible. Summary
The Internal Service Advisor coordinates the reconditioning process for used vehicles from arrival through completion. This position serves as the primary liaison between the Used Vehicle Department, Service Department, and Parts Department to ensure repairs are completed accurately, efficiently, and on schedule.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate the reconditioning process for incoming used vehicle inventory.
- Review inspection reports and work with management to prioritize repairs.
- Create and manage repair orders for internal vehicles.
- Communicate with technicians regarding repair status and timelines.
- Coordinate with the Parts Department to ensure timely parts availability.
- Monitor repair progress and help remove obstacles that could delay completion.
- Provide regular updates to the Used Vehicle Department regarding vehicle status.
- Verify repairs are completed accurately before vehicles are released.
- Ensure repair orders are complete and properly documented.
- Help maintain efficient shop workflow while supporting inventory turn goals.
- Work closely with multiple departments to meet daily production objectives.
Qualifications
- Previous automotive service advisor experience is preferred but not required; we will train the right candidate.
- Automotive knowledge is strongly preferred.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Detail-oriented with excellent follow-through.
- Positive attitude and self-motivated work ethic.
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
- Experience with Reynolds & Reynolds is preferred.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
