Supply Chain Supervisor - Warehousing (Logistics), 2nd Shift- Romulus Michigan
This position will report to Romulus Michigan
- Primary schedule is 2nd Shift (3 pm -11 pm) within a 5/7 two week work schedule (every other weekend).

We are hiring a 2nd shift Supply Chain Supervisor - Warehousing (logistics) to support our production and warehouse operations in Romulus, Michigan.

Our Opportunity:
As our Supply Chain Supervisor - Warehousing (Logistics) you will provide frontline leadership to our warehousing team members. Support daily operational objectives to meet warehousing/logistics requirements to meet customer demands. This position oversees labor allocation, workflow execution, and compliance with food safety, GMP, and safety standards. The Supervisor reports to the Supply Chain Manager - Logistics and is accountable for performance, problem-solving, and continuous improvement across all assigned warehouse functions. The Supervisor serves as a key extension of Warehouse Management and plays a critical role in driving operational excellence, employee engagement, and customer satisfaction.
What You'll Do:
- Be a Safety Champion for your team members and the organization.
- Supervisors spend 85-90% of their shift directly supporting the warehouse team and their activities.
- Direct daily warehouse operations across shipping, receiving, staging, inventory control, and material movement.
- Ensure accurate and timely execution of receipts, shipments, consolidation, inventory transactions, cycle counts, and physical inventories.
- Adjust staffing, labor allocation, and priorities to meet production schedules and safety, quality, service, and cost targets.
- Supervise, coach, train, and develop warehouse associates; manage certifications, performance documentation, and corrective actions.
- Lead shift meetings and communicate priorities, risks, operational issues, and performance results.
- Monitor KPIs and lead continuous improvement efforts to improve productivity, inventory accuracy, workflow, and space utilization.
- Ensure compliance with GMP, food safety, sanitation, OSHA, and company policies while maintaining an organized, audit-ready warehouse.
- Partner with Quality, Maintenance, Operations, and Inventory Control to resolve issues, address root causes, and prevent recurrence.
- Provide hands-on support during peak volume, equipment downtime, or staffing constraints.
- Physical & Scheduling Requirements
- Ability to work in a warehouse environment
- Ability to frequently stand, walk, bend, climb, twist, use hands fingers to operate computer & other hand held devices and lift 45 lbs. without assistance within established job requirements.
- Primary schedule is 2nd Shift (3 pm -11 pm) within a 5/7 two week work schedule (every other weekend).
- Supervisors may be required to work other shifts as necessary to support operations.
What You'll Bring:
- Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in supply chain, logistics, operations, or a related field preferred, 5 years warehousing supervisor experience with HS diploma or equivalent may be substituted.
- Minimum 2 years supervisory experience
- Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS, ERP, or SAP, highly desired)
- Working knowledge of GMPs and warehouse safety practices required
- Forklift or powered industrial truck certification required
- Experience with inventory transactions, cycle counts, and warehouse KPIs required
- Microsoft Office skills at intermediate to advanced level
- Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement training is preferred.
