Position Summary
To ensure the manufacturing of company products is completed in alignment to prescribed production processes. Provide direction within assigned factory area to production associates. Ensures all operations are safely carried out, tac times are met or exceeded and established quality metrics are achieved. Develop a highly empowered, world-class team to deliver excellent efficiency results. Identify and drive the continuous improvement opportunities within production.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Hires and trains front-line employees.
- Organizes, directs, and oversees the schedules and work of front-line employees.
- Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations.
- Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.
- Conducts interviews of potential candidates, tracks / reviews existing staff’s skill set, and issues disciplinary actions as required.
Duties:
- Understands factory objectives and drives team to meet, safety, quality, productivity, and efficiency targets.
- Determines requirements for standard work instructions and procedures, reviews and provides feedback prior to production release.
- Has deep understanding of manufacturing processes production line balancing and equipment utilization.
- Identifies potential safety issues, presents corrective actions, communicates needed changes to Environment Health and Safety (EHS) and safety management team.
- Establishes process training requirements
- Uses data from process and develops opportunities for improvement.
- Tracks capacity utilization and develops plans to make improvements.
- Driver of 5S in assigned production area.
- Actively participates in companies change control process.
- Drives production continuous improvement efforts using lean methodologies.
- Maintains work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.
- Performs simple equipment maintenance and assists with troubleshooting in resolving machine issues.

Education and Experience
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma or G.E.D.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or science or a related field preferred.
- 5+ years of manufacturing experience preferred.
- Experience supervising teams of 10+ associates.
- Experience with continuous improvement and building a culture of commitment and ownership.
- Experienced with improving factory organization, throughput, productivity and costs with knowledge of associated incentive systems
- Knowledge of ERP systems within manufacturing environment NetSuite a plus.
- Experience working in Production/Manufacturing environment.
- Experience with assembly/equipment/automated manufacturing.
- Experience in Membrane Filtration industry.
- Lean Manufacturing knowledge.
- Continuous Improvement mindset.
- Bilingual preferred (English/Spanish).
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods of standing and walking through the factory.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk working on computers.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds at times.
- Visual acuity to inspect products and machinery.
- Hearing and speaking to exchange information
- Dexterity of hands and fingers to demonstrate activities
- Operate a computer and other office productivity machinery
- Bending at the waist, kneeling or crouching
Work Environment
The work environment described here is representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
- Fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- This role routinely involves standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, etc.
- The role is exposed to a variety of conditions that may be found while walking the production floor.
- No travel will be required for this position.
- 80% of the time spent on the production floor and 20% in an office environment.
- Work extended hours as needed.
