Purpose
The Warehouse & Logistics Supervisor is responsible for coordinating the facility’s shipping, receiving, inventory movement, and warehouse organization activities. This is a hands-on supervisory position that oversees a team of three forklift drivers while ensuring materials and finished goods are received, stored, transferred, and shipped accurately and efficiently.

The supervisor will maintain inventory accuracy through proper SAP transactions, shipment verification, cycle-count support, and coordination with third-party warehouses, carriers, and distribution centers.

Duties and Responsibilities

The following duties and responsibilities outline the core functions of the Warehouse & Logistics Supervisor. Duties Include

· Oversee the daily activities of the warehouse and provide direction to a team of three forklift drivers.

· Assign daily work based on production, shipping, receiving, and inventory priorities.

· Ensure the warehouse is clean, organized, and arranged to support safe and efficient product movement.

· Coordinate inbound and outbound truck appointments, deliveries, and shipments.

· Prepare and communicate shipping and receiving schedules to appropriate departments.

· Inspect incoming and outgoing shipments to verify that products, quantities, lot information, and documentation match the applicable purchase order, packing slip, bill of lading, or invoice.

· Identify and resolve shipment shortages, overages, damages, and other discrepancies.

· Receive materials and inventory into SAP accurately and promptly.

· Complete and verify SAP inventory transfers between the facility, third-party warehouses, and company distribution centers.

· Maintain accurate shipping, receiving, and inventory documentation.

· Assist with cycle counts, inventory reconciliation, and the investigation of inventory discrepancies.

· Coordinate the movement of raw materials, packaging materials, and finished goods based on production and shipping requirements.

· Work closely with Planning, Production, Quality, Finance, and third-party warehouse contacts to support inventory availability and accuracy.

· Ensure products are stored in their designated locations and properly identified.

· Monitor staged materials and finished goods to prevent congestion, product damage, or safety concerns.

· Ensure forklift drivers complete required equipment inspections and follow all powered industrial truck safety requirements.

· Reinforce compliance with company safety policies, GMPs, food-safety requirements, and warehouse procedures.

· Assist with training, coaching, attendance monitoring, and performance feedback for assigned employees.

· Report inventory, shipping, receiving, equipment, or staffing concerns to management promptly.

· Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous warehouse, shipping, receiving, logistics, or inventory-control experience required.
• Prior lead or supervisory experience preferred.
• Experience using SAP or a similar inventory-management system required.
• Experience coordinating freight carriers and truck appointments preferred.
• Forklift certification or previous forklift operating experience preferred.
• Experience in a manufacturing, food-production, or distribution environment is a plus.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to identify and resolve inventory and shipment discrepancies.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Outlook and Excel.
• Ability to prioritize multiple shipping, receiving, and inventory needs in a fast-paced environment.

Physical and work requirements

• Ability to work in a warehouse and manufacturing environment.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to lift and move materials in accordance with company safety requirements.
• Ability to work around forklifts, trucks, loading areas, and warehouse equipment.
• Flexibility to work additional hours when required to support production or shipping schedules

• Bump cap, hearing protection, hair net, beard net, gloves, slip-resistant steel-toe shoes, and eye protection.
