Job Description
Medix Infusion is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Data Analyst to join our team. This entry-level position is ideal for an individual who enjoys working with data, solving problems, and learning how analytics can support business operations and strategic decision-making.
The Data Analyst will assist with collecting, organizing, analyzing, and presenting data to help teams better understand performance and identify opportunities for improvement. The successful candidate will have foundational technical skills, strong attention to detail, and an eagerness to grow within a collaborative, healthcare-focused environment.
Medix Infusion is a technology-driven healthcare platform dedicated to enhancing patient care and access to infusion therapies. We specialize in disease management and infusion pharmacy services for chronic and acutely ill patients, particularly those in underserved communities. We provide personalized home and in-suite infusion therapies, including anti-infectives, biologics, IVIG, and other injectable treatments, with the goal of making each patient’s journey as smooth as possible.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect, organize, and analyze data to support business operations and departmental initiatives.
- Assist with developing and maintaining SQL queries for data extraction, validation, and analysis.
- Prepare routine and ad hoc reports for business leaders and departmental stakeholders.
- Create and maintain dashboards and data visualizations using Power BI.
- Assist with cleaning, transforming, and validating data from multiple sources.
- Review data for accuracy, completeness, and consistency, and report identified issues.
- Work with team members to understand reporting needs and translate business questions into meaningful analyses.
- Identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for operational improvement.
- Document reporting processes, data definitions, and analytical procedures.
- Assist with basic automation and data analysis using Python, Excel, or other available tools.
- Participate in testing new reports, dashboards, and data solutions.
- Present findings in a clear and understandable manner to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Maintain the confidentiality and security of sensitive business, employee, and patient information.
- Perform other duties and analytical projects as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Business, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant experience.
- Foundational knowledge of data analysis, reporting, and visualization concepts.
- Basic knowledge of SQL, including the ability to write or modify queries.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, filters, pivot tables, and charts.
- Strong analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to explain findings clearly to individuals with varying levels of technical knowledge.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments, meet deadlines, and ask for guidance when needed.
- Willingness to learn new technologies, systems, and healthcare business processes.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Internship, academic, or project experience involving data analysis, reporting, or business intelligence.
- Exposure to Power BI, Tableau, or another data visualization platform.
- Familiarity with DAX or an interest in developing DAX skills.
- Basic experience with Python and/or R for data analysis or scripting.
- Familiarity with cloud-based relational databases or data warehouses (Azure SQL preferred; exposure to Snowflake, Redshift, or BigQuery also relevant).
- Experience using AI-assisted tools (e.g., Claude, Copilot) to support analytical and coding tasks.
- Basic understanding of data quality and data-management principles.
- Experience working with APIs for data extraction or integration.
- Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint.
- Interest in healthcare analytics, infusion services, specialty pharmacy, or healthcare operations.

Talking and hearing are essential to communicate with patients, vendors, and staff.
