Site Supervisor in Queenstown at Horizon Energy Group

• Based in Queenstown (with travel required in Central Otago and Southland)
• Full-time, permanent position - 40h per week
• $110K-120K/year, depending on experience

About the role:

• Supervising trade staff and subcontractors across hydraulic, refrigeration, and HVAC mechanical projects.
  
• Carrying out handson installation of hydraulic, refrigeration, and HVAC plant, equipment, and systems.
  
• Overseeing project planning, scheduling, and delivery to meet timelines and budgets.
• Coordinating materials, subcontractors, and the internal trade team to ensure smooth project execution.
• Ensuring all installations meet quality, contractual, and industry standards.
• Building strong relationships with clients, head contractors, and project stakeholders.
• Driving continuous improvement in efficiency, quality, and health & safety.
• Championing company values and contributing positively to project outcomes.

About you:

Qualifications

• Trade qualified professional with knowledge and experience across commercial and industrial Hydraulic or Refrigeration and/or HVAC Mechanical projects.
• 5 years post trade experience
• Minimum of 3 years supervisory experience in the Hydraulic or HVAC Mechanical industry preferable with a refrigeration background in an installation environment
• Valid unrestricted NZ Drivers Licence

Demonstrated experience in relevant trade area required:

• Installation of Hydraulic or Refrigeration, HVAC & Mechanical Plant
• Proven experience in supervising Hydraulic / Refrigeration and/or HVAC Mechanical installation staff leading by example with a passion for delivering high quality customer satisfaction at all times
• People management expertise with the ability to lead, coordinate, motivate and develop hydraulic, refrigeration and HVAC trade staff to create an efficient workforce
• Knowledge of building and service regulations and statutory obligations
• Ability to schedule work, provide relevant technical expertise and support staff where required to resolve issues that arise in a busy installation operation
• Proven ability to meet deadlines with a diverse range of tasks to manage
• A passion for maintaining a safe working environment
• A commitment to provide excellent customer service
• Proven ability to develop a team and operate in a team environment
• Experienced in the installation of Hydraulic and or Refrigeration & HVAC plant, equipment, and systems in a commercial environment
• Experience in responding to and satisfying customer requests
• Experience with using hand or power equipment
• Experience working within OH&S guidelines
• Co-operative and team orientated
