Position Overview
The Commercial Sales Analyst serves as CREO Group's primary inventory planning and replenishment contact for The Home Depot across all assigned departments. Working closely with the Sales Account Manager, The Home Depot inventory planning teams, and CREO's internal supply chain and operations partners, this role uses data and business insights to align inventory with customer demand and support a 98% fill-rate objective. The analyst monitors sales, forecasts, orders, inventory, in-stock performance, and product trends; identifies risks and opportunities; communicates shortages and availability constraints; and recommends timely corrective actions. The position also supports promotional events, product launches, seasonal programs, and business reviews through disciplined planning, reporting, and cross-functional coordination.
Key Responsibilities
• Serve as the primary day-to-day contact for The Home Depot inventory planning and replenishment teams across all assigned departments, partnering with the Sales Account Manager to support service, sales, and a 98% fill-rate objective.
• Lead weekly inventory and replenishment status meetings with the appropriate The Home Depot teams; prepare the agenda and supporting analysis, document decisions, and drive follow-up actions to closure.
• Communicate inventory unavailability, shortages, order cuts, allocation constraints, and expected recovery timing to The Home Depot and internal stakeholders each business day.
• Manage account-level inventory planning, forecasting, and replenishment analysis for The Home Depot, using customer forecasts, sales history, point-of-sale trends, inventory positions, lead times, and known business events.
• Monitor sales, orders, inventory, in-stock levels, fill rate, forecast accuracy, weeks of supply, product performance, and other relevant service metrics; investigate exceptions and performance gaps.
• Identify near- and long-term inventory risks, excess or slow-moving inventory, potential stockouts, and demand or supply variances; recommend corrective actions and escalate material issues promptly.
• Develop inventory plans for promotions, resets, product launches, seasonal programs, and special events, including pre-build requirements, initial allocations, replenishment assumptions, and post-event analysis.
• Partner with Sales, Demand Planning, Supply Planning, Customer Service, Operations, Distribution, Finance, and other internal teams to align customer demand with supply, production, and inventory availability.
• Maintain effective working relationships with The Home Depot merchants, planners, replenishment contacts, and other stakeholders to ensure timely, accurate, and consistent communication.
• Create and maintain recurring dashboards, scorecards, reports, and exception analyses that translate account data into clear, actionable business insights.
• Analyze root causes of service failures, forecast variances, lost sales, inventory imbalances, and replenishment issues; coordinate countermeasures and monitor results.
• Support customer and internal business reviews by preparing inventory, sales, forecast, service, and product-performance analyses, including concise summaries of risks, opportunities, and recommended actions.
• Validate data integrity across customer portals, internal systems, reports, and planning tools; investigate discrepancies and coordinate resolution with the appropriate teams.
• Identify opportunities to improve planning processes, reporting accuracy, decision speed, and account performance through standardization, automation, and continuous improvement.
• Maintain accurate planning assumptions, action logs, documentation, and performance records in accordance with company requirements.
• Perform other related duties and analytical projects as assigned.
Education & Experience
• Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business, finance, analytics, operations, or a related field required; an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may be considered.
• Three or more years of experience in inventory planning, replenishment, demand planning, sales analysis, supply chain analysis, retail analytics, or a related business-analysis role preferred.
• Experience supporting a major retailer, home improvement customer, consumer-products business, or high-volume account strongly preferred; experience with The Home Depot is a significant advantage.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, lookups, conditional formulas, data validation, and analysis of large data sets.
• Experience with enterprise resource planning, customer portal, business intelligence, or planning systems; Power BI experience preferred.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex information clearly to customer and internal audiences.
• Strong organization, attention to detail, follow-through, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Sound judgment and a proactive approach to identifying problems, escalating risks, and coordinating solutions across functions.
