Interns are provided opportunities to demonstrate their functional and business capabilities with meaningful work experience, while expanding their network.
At ms consultants, you’ll work closely with an assigned manager and mentor on assignments related to your field of study to take your classroom learning to the next level. You’ll work on live projects supporting our clients with innovative solutions by overcoming real life design challenges.
About the Building Systems Business Unit
Our Building Systems Business Unit provides architecture, engineering, and planning consulting services to a variety of commercial and public clients including financial, retail, restaurant, office, municipal, and grocery. Project types range from multi-until retail to schools, municipal facilities, fairgrounds, industrial sites, commercial interiors, and urban redevelopment.
- Undertake diverse design assignments, progressively assuming more responsibility under the guidance of a project architect or department manager.
- Support technical staff on day-to-day projects, providing valuable assistance.
- Assist in the development of a design through sketches, physical models, digital models, diagrams, massing studies, and other visual formats.
- Gain exposure to all organizational levels, including interactions with senior leadership.
- Receive ongoing guidance and feedback from mentors and managers aligned with our core competencies to support your growth.
- Currently enrolled in Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited College or University.
- Familiarity in technical computer skills, including Revit, AutoCAD, Word, and Excel.
- Capacity to excel in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Enthusiasm for commercial architecture, encompassing retail, restaurant, and diverse commercial building design.
