Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, or related Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics field, plus a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree, plus 3 years relevant experience.

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:
Department of Defense Secret security clearance is preferred at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.

As an Advanced Software Engineer for GDMS Canonsburg, you’ll be a member of a cross-functional team responsible for designing and building test systems that verify mission-critical hardware.

What you’ll experience
  • Design and develop software-based test systems for mission-critical hardware.
  • Integrate software with electrical hardware and National Instruments hardware.
  • Automate functional and performance testing of physical hardware through software.
  • Develop and maintain digital signal processing software and test applications.
  • Identifies opportunities to apply AI for continuous improvement and innovation.

What sets you apart:

  • Experience working with electrical hardware, both hands on and programmatically
  • Experience with National Instruments Hardware
  • Proficiency with one or more of the following:
    • C/C++
    • Object Oriented Development
    • Windows/Visual Studio/.NET
  • Background implementing Digital Signal Processing software
  • Experience automating testing of physical hardware via software
  • Ability to lead the software development process
  • Expertise in applying technical standards and methodologies to solve challenges in creative ways
  • Collaborative team player eager to provide technical leadership and positioning others for success
  • Thorough knowledge of technology trends and willingness to champion new ideas and process improvements

  • Identifies opportunities to apply AI for continuous improvement and innovation

Combined Salary Range

USD $115,000.00 - USD $125,000.00 /Yr.
