Job Description
The Position
We are seeking a data-driven and analytical Digital Marketing Specialist to take ownership of our digital execution, campaign optimization, and website management. In this role, you will be the engine behind our digital advertising, email marketing, and technical SEO efforts. You’ll be working with digital marketing campaigns, websites and processes that are well established, and we are looking for someone who excels at analyzing data to make well-considered, strategic optimizations. We will also appreciate your initiative to explore new frontiers of digital marketing, such as AI.
You will work closely with our subject matter experts to ensure our messaging accurately reaches and resonates with our audience of scientists and medium-to-large biotech organizations. A background or strong interest in the life sciences is highly preferred!

Our clients routinely use our services in therapeutic discovery, IVD development, basic research, controls and assay development. Our scope of services includes a full suite of R&D programs including antibody discovery, epitope mapping, kinetic analysis, and glycan profiling.
Responsibilities
Digital Advertising Optimization & SEO:
- Manage and optimize a portfolio of active paid campaigns (Google Ads, LinkedIn, and other relevant channels).
- Perform data analysis to make well-considered optimizations: monitor ad spend, adjust budget allocations, track conversions, refine geographic and audience targeting, manage bids, and optimize keywords and targeting based on qualified inquiry and conversion performance.
- Own SEO strategy and execution, including keyword research, technical/on-page SEO, internal linking, and organic search visibility. Use Google Analytics and other relevant tools to measure and improve digital acquisition.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to write compelling ad copy and develop campaign content (using Canva/Illustrator or other appropriate tools).
- Manage and optimize our presence on scientific affiliate directories
Email Marketing & Automation (HubSpot):
- Draft engaging email content, subject lines, and run A/B experiments tailored to a scientific audience.
- Build emails, test links, and manage list segmentations and workflow actions within HubSpot.
- Upload and manage event/webinar contact lists, ensuring proper tagging and campaign association.
- Work with the team to measure opportunities and pipeline generated by marketing activities
Website & Conversion Optimization (WordPress):
- Manage marketing-related WordPress updates, landing pages, and content publication, and ensure on-page SEO best practices (including internal linking).
- Improve website conversion through landing pages, forms, and other calls to actions.
- Monitor website health and performance using Google Analytics and SEMrush, and address technical issues that affect SEO, website performance, or conversion.
Growth Optimization & Emerging Channels:
- Analyze marketing performance and recommend where budgets and efforts should be increased, reduced, or reallocated.
- Emerging Search & AI Optimization (GEO): Monitor Rapid Novor’s brand presence on AI search engines and incorporate relevant practices into SEO and website strategy
- Channel Expansion: Identify and evaluate new digital channels to reach scientists, such as scientific community forums, and test their effectiveness in generating qualified opportunities. Also experiment with new ways of engaging our audience on LinkedIn and other social media platforms.
Requirements
- Experience: 4+ years of hands-on experience in digital marketing, growth marketing, marketing operations, or a similar execution-focused role, with demonstrated independent ownership of successful digital acquisition program
- Analytical Mindset: Proven ability to analyze paid and organic acquisition performance, and make data-backed decisions on campaign optimizations (mid-scale budgets).
- Platform Mastery: Strong hands-on experience with Google Ads. Working knowledge of HubSpot (Marketing Hub), and LinkedIn Campaign Manager.
- Web Management: Hands-on experience managing and maintaining a WordPress website in completing marketing related activities.
- SEO & Analytics: Proficiency in Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Google Tag Manager, SEO tools such as SEMrush, and foundational technical/on-page SEO.
- Forward-Thinking SEO: Familiarity with AI-driven search, Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) is an asset.
- Email Marketing: Experience developing and optimizing email campaigns
- Design Skills: Comfortable creating or adapting basic campaign assets using Canva or similar tools. Adobe Illustrator and basic video editing skills are assets.
- Scientific Background: A degree or background in life sciences, biology, biochemistry, or experience marketing to the biotech/pharma industry is strongly preferred to help contextualize ad copy and campaign targeting.

Compensation Range: $70-85k CAD + up to $10k performance bonus.
