The mission of the CHA Center for Mindfulness and Compassion is to enhance health and well-being by integrating mindfulness and compassion into healthcare and our communities. CMC is affiliated with the Department of Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School and has multiple clinical trials funded by the National Institutes of Health and by private foundations, including studies of mindfulness- based programs, compassion-based programs, technology-assisted meditation, mechanistic neuroimaging studies, and an internal family systems research program.

CMC’s current studies focus on PTSD/trauma, migraines, pain, depression, anxiety, grief, and substance use disorders.

Position Details

This position will support a study investigating the impact of an online group-based intervention informed by Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapy for individuals who have used violence in intimate relationships and are court-mandated to Domestic Violence Intervention Treatment (DVIT).

Working under the general direction of a Principal Investigator, as a Research Coordinator, you will:

  • Oversee multi-site research initiatives and coordinate data collection across collaborating institutions.
  • Lead human subjects recruitment and track timelines for interim reporting to sponsors and IRBs.
  • Develop protocols, research designs, and data collection instruments tailored to project goals.
  • Draft and edit funding proposals, technical reports, and academic manuscripts for publication.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between project teams, funding agencies, and external collaborators.
  • Assist in recruiting, training, and supervising research staff while addressing participant concerns.


Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in relevant field of study and at least two years of related work experience or the equivalent combination of education and experience
