Job Description
Overview
Home or Away is a fast-growing home care agency serving Medicaid & Medicare members, Veterans, and their families. We’re building something special — and we’re looking for a high-performing, results-driven community salesperson who can own and grow their territory, build real relationships, and grow and adapt with the company.
This is a performance-driven role with an aggressive, uncapped commission structure on top of a market base salary. If you’re motivated by results, competition, and building something bigger than yourself, you’ll thrive here.
This is not a desk job and not digital marketing. You’ll be in the community every day, face-to-face, opening doors and turning relationships into referrals. The service area for this role is 5-10 counties surrounding Macon.
What You’ll Do
- Own a defined territory and grow referrals significantly.
- Build and maintain long term referral relationships. Spend your days out in the community visiting case managers, social workers, community organizations, and other Medicaid and VA referral sources
- Be a consistent, trusted presence in the communities we serve. Attend and represent Home or Away at community events, health fairs, and outreach programs
- Educate referral partners and families on our home care services and how we can support clients and caregivers, including family caregivers
- Track your outreach activity and referrals in our CRM. Be accountable for results, not just activity.
Compensation & Perks
- Base Salary: $65,000 per year
- Incentive Pay: Uncapped bonus structure with an expected target of $50,000 – $150,000+
- Travel Reimbursement: Mileage reimbursed at the standard IRS rate
- Benefits: Health insurance is not currently offered, but is planned for future rollout
Who This Job Is For
This role is a great fit for someone who:
- Has a track record of producing clients for their prior or current home care or hospice agency
- Understands the elderly and disabled population, particularly the Medicaid and Veterans populations and how trust is built in the community
- Cares about getting our community's elderly, sick, and disabled access to the care they need
- Is able to work independently toward agreed-upon goals, with support and feedback as needed
- Is competitive, self-disciplined, and driven by results
- Has high integrity and a strong work ethic
- Is incredibly motivated by a solid base salary plus aggressive, uncapped commissions
