Job Description
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Bench Technician is responsible for performing bench tasks required to build a tool to spec and to ensure each tool is shipped on time and on cost. These tasks to include (but not limited to): assembling various parts of a tool, fitting various parts in a tool, plumbing water and hydraulic lines, installing various electric or hydraulic systems, polishing various parts of a tool, etc. It is critical to ensure safety, accuracy, thoroughness and organization in all work performed.
DUTIES:
- Review the bench line up (schedule) on a daily basis.
- Review tool models and tool BOMs, as required.
- Operate (safely) all material handling devices.
- Inform management of anticipated conflicts for future operations.
- Perform all phases of assembly and disassembly of tools.
- Perform all phases of installing and plumbing water lines, hydraulic lines and systems.
- Demonstrate good bench-oriented shop practices: safety oriented, organization, cleanliness.
- Operate miscellaneous equipment, as required: surface grinders/bench grinders/wire wheels.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
CLIMATE:
Work is coordinated through the applicable supervisor. The Bench Technician will ensure proper tooling / proper material / proper set up items are available, when required, for active jobs. The Bench Technician must be conscientious and persistent about meeting or beating department throughput and delivery goals.

- Enjoys working in a team environment, possesses strong interpersonal skills enjoys learning and applying new technology.
- Motivated to complete work with little supervision.
- Personality traits to include: goal oriented, persistence, motivated, positive attitude.
- 2 years’ experience.
