As a Part-Time Financial Coach, you will provide personalized, unbiased financial education to employees of major global organizations through fully virtual coaching sessions. You will help individuals make informed decisions around budgeting, debt, credit, retirement, investing, insurance, and home ownership. Each 30-minute session is tailored to the member’s goals, financial situation, and level of knowledge. The role is focused entirely on education and guidance, with no financial products to sell and no sales responsibilities. You will have the flexibility to choose the topics you are most experienced in and set availability that works with your schedule. This is an opportunity to use your financial expertise in a meaningful, people-focused role while working remotely from anywhere in Brazil.
- Conduct 30-minute, one-on-one financial coaching sessions with members through a fully virtual environment.
- Provide unbiased financial education across topics such as budgeting, debt reduction, credit management, retirement planning, investment education, insurance, and home buying.
- Tailor each coaching session to the individual’s financial goals, circumstances, priorities, and starting point.
- Explain complex financial concepts in clear, practical, and accessible language.
- Help members identify actionable strategies to improve their financial well-being, including managing debt, strengthening credit, building savings, increasing retirement contributions, and improving discretionary income.
- Document the key topics and guidance discussed after each coaching session.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and professionalism when handling sensitive personal and financial information.
- Deliver a supportive, empathetic, and judgment-free coaching experience for members from diverse financial backgrounds.
- Focus on education and financial empowerment without promoting or selling financial products.
- At least 5 years of professional experience in financial coaching, financial planning, personal finance education, or a closely related field.
- Familiarity with financial systems, practices, and personal finance considerations relevant to Brazil.
- Strong working knowledge of several areas including budgeting, debt management, credit, retirement, investing, insurance, and home buying.
- Ability to translate financial concepts into clear, understandable, and actionable guidance for individuals with varying levels of financial knowledge.
- Fluency in both English and Portuguese, written and spoken.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to establish trust quickly during short coaching sessions.
- Warmth, empathy, professionalism, and a non-judgmental approach when discussing sensitive financial topics.
- Moderate technical proficiency, including the ability to independently use a computer, standard software applications, and CRM systems to document coaching sessions.
- Reliable high-speed internet connection and access to a quiet, professional environment suitable for conducting confidential virtual sessions.
- Ability to work independently and manage a flexible schedule reliably.
- A certification in financial coaching or planning, such as CFP, CPA, CFA, licensed financial planner, bank wealth manager, or a similar credential, is a plus.
- Experience providing financial coaching to people from diverse backgrounds and financial circumstances is an advantage.
