Responsibilities

Responsibilities
Independently preforms EEGs, NCS, Evoked potentials, OCTs, and Long-term video EEG monitoring on patients with scalp and intracranial placed electrodes in the epilepsy monitoring unit. Performs WADA, SEEG and cortical stimulation procedures if position is in the EMU unit of neurodiagnostics. Oversees the daily performance of entry-level technologists, registered technologists, and will lead the department in the event it is needed.
Qualifications
Required:
- Three (3) year experience in a healthcare setting. One (1) year experience in Electroencephalography experience including electrode set up, montage creation/verification, troubleshooting, hook-up and discontinuation. One (1) year experience, in a EMU facility, training provided by a REEG Technician for EMU unit procedures including subdural grid implant intraoperative, WADA, SPECT, SEEG, and cortical stimulation and postoperative procedures; and/or one (1) year experience in clinical hospital facility which performs specialty testing that include Evoked Potentials, OCT, and assist neurologist with NCV/EMG and Botox procedures as needed.
- Electroencephalogram Technician Registered
Desired:
- Three (3) years' experience in Electroencephalography with training of subdural grid implant intraoperative, and postoperatively including, but not limited to: electrode set-up, montage creation/verification, troubleshooting, and hook-up; and/or three (3) years of experience in SPECT injection, NCS, Evoked Potential and OCT.
