Job Description
The Admissions Officer supports the university’s mission to provide access to high-quality education by actively recruiting, advising, and engaging prospective students and their families. Reporting to the Associate Director of Recruitment, this full-time, 12-month position plays a key role in building relationships, managing a recruitment territory, and guiding students through the admissions process.
This role is ideal for a candidate who is passionate about student success, enjoys travel and public engagement, and can use data and technology to support recruitment strategies.
Represent the university at on- and off-campus recruitment events, including high school visits, college fairs, and community events (in-state and out-of-state).
Develop and deliver engaging presentations to prospective students, families, and partners.
Build and maintain relationships with high school counselors, community organizations, and other stakeholders.
Counseling prospective students and families on admissions requirements, programs, and campus resources.
Manage a recruitment territory, including planning travel, tracking prospects, and monitoring progress toward enrollment goals.
Utilize CRM and student information systems to maintain accurate student records, communication, and reporting.
Communicate with prospective students through multiple channels (email, phone, text, virtual platforms).
Plan and support campus visit programs and recruitment events.
Analyze recruitment data and adjust strategies to improve outreach effectiveness.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree.
Valid driver’s license.
Ability to travel extensively, including evenings and weekends.
Ability to present information effectively to groups.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in admissions, recruiting, sales, customer service, or outreach roles.
Experience working in a higher education or student services environment.
Experience using CRM or student information systems (e.g., Slate, Banner, Salesforce).
Demonstrated public speaking or presentation experience.
Experience building relationships with schools, community organizations, or partners.
Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage a territory or independent workload.

Frequent travel is required.
Evening and weekend hours during peak recruitment cycles.
Office and field-based work.
