Medical Assistant
PRC Alliance Pain Relief Centers is a family of pain management specialists who are committed to relieving pain through exceptional and compassionate care. Our mission is to relieve patients of pain and provide outstanding medical care and comfort through a conservative yet comprehensive approach to pain management. We serve our patients at eight locations northeast of Orlando (Palm Coast, Ormond Beach, Daytona Beach, Port Orange, New Smyrna Beach, DeLand, Orange City, and Lake Mary). We are currently hiring a Medical Assistant. The Medical Assistant will be joining a team of pain management specialists that have made a difference for thousands of people suffering with chronic pain. The impact of minimizing pain and improving quality of life resonates with our physicians, nurses and staff who build strong relationships with patients and their families and see lives change.
Medical Assistant Responsibilities:
Assists with patient procedure set-ups, and exams.Cleans patient exam rooms and ensures they are stocked with necessary supplies andequipment. Adheres to all blood borne pathogens and universal precautions guidelines.Assists in maintaining center and patient records. Maintains patient confidentiality. Ensures thatboth in-house and outside lab results are properly recorded, charted, and distributed to medicalproviders.Completes patient charting.Completes assigned duties in a timely fashion which may include, but not limited to, outgoingreferrals, daily prep for clinic schedule, prior-authorizations, ordering medical supplies, andwhatever else is needed of the clinic. Resolves or appropriately refers questions, requests and problems. Obtains and conveysinformation as needed. Promotes goodwill and positive image of center. Provides patient comfortand support as appropriate. Other duties as assigned.Medical Assistant Requirements:
Education:
High school or equivalent (Preferred)
License/Certification:
Certified Medical Assistant (Preferred)
BLS Certification (Required)

Requirements:Skills and Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a Medical Assistant certification program preferred
- Prior experience in a clinical setting is a plus
- Knowledge of medical terminology, clinical procedures, and EHR systems
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Compassionate, patient-focused attitude with a professional demeanor
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
