The Director, AI Strategy & Transformation will lead the development and execution of an enterprise-wide AI transformation strategy, helping an innovative organization unlock the value of emerging technologies.
This role combines strategic vision, operational leadership, and hands-on AI enablement to drive measurable business outcomes.
You will partner with executive leaders and cross-functional teams to identify high-impact AI opportunities and build scalable adoption frameworks.
The position will shape AI governance, budgeting, tooling decisions, and responsible usage practices across the organization.
You will serve as a key advocate for AI adoption, translating complex concepts into practical solutions for diverse teams.

The Director, AI Strategy & Transformation will own the organization’s AI evolution by defining strategic priorities, enabling adoption, and establishing the operational foundations required to scale AI initiatives effectively. This role requires a balance of strategic planning, stakeholder influence, experimentation, and governance to ensure AI investments deliver meaningful value.
- Define and lead the overall AI transformation strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives, operational priorities, and long-term organizational goals.
- Develop and maintain an AI roadmap that balances immediate business opportunities with long-term innovation initiatives.
- Partner with executive leadership to identify, evaluate, and prioritize AI-enabled opportunities across business functions.
- Establish AI project intake, prioritization, resource allocation, and measurement processes to ensure effective execution.
- Manage AI-related budgets, including investments in tools, platforms, vendors, experimentation, and enablement programs.
- Identify emerging AI technologies, assess their potential impact, and recommend solutions that improve productivity and business performance.
- Act as an AI champion across the organization by educating teams, encouraging adoption, and communicating practical AI applications.
- Translate complex AI concepts into accessible guidance for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Build and implement AI governance frameworks, policies, and responsible-use practices to support secure and compliant adoption.
- Balance innovation speed with appropriate risk management, ensuring teams can leverage AI effectively while maintaining operational safeguards.
The ideal candidate is a strategic technology leader with experience driving enterprise transformation initiatives and enabling organizations to adopt emerging technologies. You should combine strong business acumen with a deep understanding of AI capabilities, governance, and practical applications.
- Proven experience leading cross-functional transformation initiatives and driving organizational change.
- Strong understanding of modern AI technologies, capabilities, limitations, and business applications.
- Experience developing strategies, roadmaps, and operating models for emerging technologies.
- Demonstrated ability to manage organizational budgets and evaluate technology investments.
- Strong executive communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence leaders across functions.
- Experience establishing governance frameworks, policies, and responsible technology adoption practices.
- Ability to translate technical concepts into clear, actionable insights for non-technical audiences.
- Strong curiosity and hands-on approach toward experimenting with new AI tools, platforms, and workflows.
- Experience identifying automation opportunities and implementing technology solutions that improve efficiency.
- Background in strategy, operations, technology leadership, digital transformation, or consulting is preferred.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, remote-first environment with a high degree of ownership and autonomy.
- Competitive base salary range of $200,000 - $300,000, depending on experience, skills, location, and internal equity.
