The Senior Software Engineer will contribute to building innovative healthcare technology solutions that improve how providers and patients access critical services.
This role focuses on designing, developing, and supporting scalable applications that integrate with complex healthcare systems and APIs.
You will work across backend services, integrations, and occasional frontend development while collaborating with experienced engineering teams.

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable software applications and services that connect with healthcare systems and internal or external APIs.
- Build backend services using modern development practices, with a focus on reliability, maintainability, and performance.
- Research and integrate unfamiliar APIs to create effective solutions that support evolving product needs.
- Collaborate with engineering teams, product owners, and stakeholders to design and deliver scalable features and technical solutions.
- Participate in architecture discussions, technical planning sessions, stand-ups, grooming meetings, and collaborative design reviews.
- Perform code reviews to maintain high-quality standards, encourage best practices, and improve engineering processes.
- Develop and maintain unit and integration tests to ensure software reliability and quality.
- Support production applications by troubleshooting issues, improving services, and contributing to operational excellence.
- Mentor other engineers by sharing knowledge, providing guidance, and supporting professional growth.
- Participate in technical interviews and contribute to building a strong engineering organization.
- 5+ years of professional software development experience focused on backend engineering and service deployment.
- Strong experience with Java or Kotlin and building production-level software solutions.
- Excellent understanding of microservices architecture, including REST APIs, messaging systems, and distributed services.
- Proven experience creating unit tests, integration tests, and applying software engineering best practices.
- Strong knowledge of software design principles, development patterns, and scalable architecture approaches.
- Ability to quickly understand and contribute to existing codebases and complex technical environments.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical teams and business stakeholders.
- Experience with modern frontend technologies such as Vue, Angular, or React, or a strong willingness to learn.
- Experience with Spring Boot or similar enterprise frameworks is preferred.
- Familiarity with Kubernetes, Google Cloud Platform, container orchestration, or cloud platforms is a plus.
- Knowledge of Domain-Driven Design (DDD) concepts in software architecture and development is beneficial.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, remote-first engineering environment.
- Competitive base salary range of $120,000 - $150,000, depending on skills and experience.
