Overview
D451 Instrumentation is looking for an engineer to join our VIRGINIA- and COLUMBIA-Class data acquisition hardware team. Responsibilities include the development of data acquisition systems based on test form and internal system design specification requirements, creating engineering sketches to guide system installation and test execution, and participating in validation and verification efforts for the acquisition systems. You will work directly with a dedicated team of in-house technicians to build and test the products. Responsibilities include coordinating implementation and use of these systems shipboard as the COLUMBIA-Class test program ramps up as well as for the VIRGINIA-Class test program. This position provides the unique opportunity to personally design and build the systems you will come to rely on in the future!

The occasional need for off-shift overtime and watchbill support is required with this position.
Electric Boat offers Flexible Work Arrangements that allows some work to be performed remotely and at home. Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a similar field
- 5+ years of post-graduate Engineering experience
Preferred:
- Experience working with data acquisition systems or sensors
- Experience working with National Instruments products (e.g. cDAQ)
- Experience designing electrical components and/or circuit boards
- Experience with qualifying new or modified products to ensure they function properly and meet specification
