Principal/Senior Principal Pricing Analyst

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Principal/Senior Principal Pricing Analyst based in United States.

This role offers the opportunity to shape enterprise-wide pricing and estimating practices within a highly complex and mission-driven environment.
You will serve as a process architect, developing standards, frameworks, and tools that improve consistency, compliance, and operational excellence across business teams.
The position combines pricing expertise, process improvement, change management, and emerging technology enablement to modernize how organizations approach estimating and proposal activities.
You will collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to create scalable solutions, training programs, and governance models that support long-term business success.

Accountabilities:

As a key contributor to enterprise pricing excellence initiatives, you will be responsible for designing, standardizing, and improving pricing and estimating processes across the organization. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing enterprise pricing and estimating playbooks in collaboration with cross-functional teams, incorporating best practices across key process areas.
  • Creating and maintaining standardized frameworks, gate criteria, role definitions, and accountability models to improve operational alignment.
  • Designing human-in-the-loop (HITL) protocols, documentation, and training materials to support effective use of AI-enabled pricing tools.
  • Leading compliance validation activities for AI-supported workflows and developing documentation aligned with audit requirements.
  • Designing and launching enterprise pricing excellence certification programs, including assessments, learning paths, and professional development frameworks.
  • Developing and executing change management strategies to drive adoption of new processes, tools, and operating models.
  • Managing metadata taxonomy definitions for document management systems and aligning structures with AI and automation initiatives.
  • Establishing cross-functional handoff processes, service-level agreements, escalation paths, and issue resolution procedures.
  • Creating auditable process documentation, standard operating procedures, and training materials to support sustainable business practices.
  • Partnering with pricing, estimating, contracts, compliance, and business teams to improve consistency and effectiveness across the enterprise.
  • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives through process analysis, benchmarking, and implementation of industry best practices.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in pricing, estimating, proposal management, and enterprise process transformation within regulated industries. Required qualifications include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Principal level: Minimum of 6 years of experience in aerospace and defense, with direct experience in pricing, estimating, or proposal management.
  • Senior Principal level: Minimum of 10 years of experience in aerospace and defense, with deep expertise in pricing, estimating, or proposal management.
  • Active Government Secret Security Clearance required.
  • Proven experience developing enterprise process standards, playbooks, SOPs, or operational frameworks across large organizations.
  • Strong understanding of FAR/DFARS, CAS, TINA/DITA, and DCAA audit requirements related to pricing and estimating.
  • Experience designing and delivering professional training programs, certification initiatives, or organizational enablement programs.
  • Strong skills in process documentation, compliance management, and creating audit-ready materials.
  • Experience leading change management efforts for new processes, technologies, or organizational improvements.
  • Ability to analyze complex business processes, identify improvement opportunities, and implement scalable solutions.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills across technical and business teams.
  • Ability to travel domestically approximately 10–25% of the time for site visits and cross-functional engagements.
  • Preferred qualifications include experience as a Contracts Manager, Pricing Manager, Compliance Lead, or Process Improvement Lead within aerospace or defense.
  • Familiarity with AI governance, human-in-the-loop workflows, enterprise assessment frameworks, Lean/Six Sigma methodologies, NCMA certifications, ICEAA certifications, or advanced degrees is a plus.

    • Senior Principal level: $106,800 – $160,200 annually
