Location: Artesia, NM
Pay Rate: $16.25 per hour
Schedule: Days and hours may vary
We are seeking a dependable and motivated General Maintenance Worker to join our team in Artesia, New Mexico. Under general supervision, the General Maintenance Worker is responsible for maintaining facilities and performing building repairs in accordance with contract specifications. This position also provides quality oversight and training to assigned personnel and assists with custodial and groundskeeping duties as needed to ensure contractual requirements are met.

Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesFacility MaintenanceMaintain and repair buildings and property according to contract specifications.
Perform general facility maintenance and minor repairs.
Troubleshoot maintenance issues and complete basic repairs.
Assist with maintenance projects and facility improvements.
Replace damaged wall paneling and floor tiles.
Perform advanced floor care, including stripping, waxing, buffing, and deep carpet cleaning.
Perform custodial duties as needed to meet contract requirements.
Equipment and Systems MaintenanceAssist with routine maintenance and repairs involving:
Plumbing
Facilities maintenance
Carpentry
Basic HVAC systems
Basic electrical systems
Travel and OperationsOperate a company vehicle to travel to contract locations throughout Southeast New Mexico.
Travel up to 300 miles per day when required.
Work outside traditional business hours as needed.
Complete special assignments as directed by the supervisor.
Minimum QualificationsEducation & ExperienceHigh school diploma or GED required.
Minimum of one (1) year of experience in general maintenance, repair, or supervision.
LicensesValid driver's license required.
Background RequirementsApplicants must successfully complete:
Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) review
General Background Check

Working knowledge of building maintenance systems, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Excellent organizational and time management abilities.

Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and spreadsheets.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
