Job Description
Woodhaven Residential Treatment Center (Havens of Ohio LLC) — Dayton, OH • On-site/Hybrid • Full-Time
About us: Woodhaven is a CARF-accredited, OhioMHAS-certified behavioral health organization providing substance use disorder treatment and recovery services across our Dayton and Lebanon locations. “A safe place to recover.”
The role: We’re seeking an experienced Billing Manager to own our end-to-end revenue cycle. You’ll lead billing operations, keep claims clean and compliant, maximize legitimate collections, and supervise our billing function — making sure we bill accurately for the services we provide.
What you’ll do:
Manage the full revenue cycle: charge entry, claim submission, posting, denials/appeals, and accounts receivable
Oversee coding accuracy and compliant documentation (CPT/HCPCS, ICD-10, E/M and behavioral-health codes); ensure claims reflect services actually rendered
Work Medicaid, Medicare, and commercial payers; manage payer enrollment/credentialing coordination
Monitor AR aging, denials, and collections; run appeals and track overturn rates
Produce clear revenue and KPI reporting for leadership (billed vs. collected, denial trends, days in AR)
Supervise and support billing staff; set processes and internal controls
Partner with clinical and front-office teams to resolve documentation and eligibility issues
Maintain compliance with payer rules, 42 CFR Part 2, HIPAA, and OhioMHAS/CARF standards
Qualifications:
3+ years of medical billing experience, with team lead/management experience (behavioral health or SUD billing strongly preferred)
Working knowledge of Medicaid/Medicare and commercial payer requirements
Proficiency with EMR/billing and clearinghouse systems (CareLogic/NetSmart or similar a plus)
Strong grasp of coding, denials/appeals, and revenue-cycle KPIs
High integrity and attention to compliance and documentation
Must reside in Ohio (role is on-site/hybrid out of our Dayton office)
Details: Full-time • W-2 • On-site/Hybrid (Dayton, OH) • Competitive salary + benefits (health, PTO, 401(k))
Woodhaven is an Equal Opportunity Employer. Employment is contingent on a satisfactory background check, drug screen, and exclusion/licensure verification.
