The Squad Team Leader (STL) is a key leadership position responsible for helping lead successful shifts and supporting the development of our Squad. The STL works alongside the Squad while helping ensure great food, fast and friendly service, and strong operational execution.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and support Squad Members during assigned shifts
• Help position and deploy the team based on business needs
• Set the pace and lead by example during busy periods
• Coach and provide feedback to Squad Members
• Ensure excellent guest service, food quality, speed, and order accuracy
• Maintain Smalls Sliders operational standards throughout the shift
• Ensure food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness procedures are followed
• Complete opening and closing responsibilities as assigned
• Support cash handling and shift procedures
• Keep the Can clean, organized, stocked, and ready for business
• Identify and communicate operational or staffing concerns to management
• Help train and develop new Squad Members
• Handle guest concerns professionally and involve management when appropriate
• Support the SGM and SAM in achieving sales, labor, and operational goals
• Take ownership of assigned responsibilities and help create a positive, accountable team environment

What We’re Looking For:

• Previous restaurant experience preferred
• Leadership or shift-lead experience is a plus
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic
• Dependable, punctual, and accountable
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to coach and motivate others
• Guest-focused mindset
• Ability to stay organized and make good decisions in a fast-paced environment
• Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays based on business needs
