This is an exciting opportunity for a high-performing sales leader to drive growth within the rapidly evolving Buy Now, Pay Later (BNPL) and fintech space. In this role, you will lead enterprise-level merchant acquisition efforts, build strategic partnerships, and expand market adoption of innovative payment solutions across retail and e-commerce ecosystems. You will play a key role in shaping go-to-market strategy, influencing product direction, and accelerating revenue growth in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. The position offers strong visibility across cross-functional teams including Product, Risk, Marketing, Legal, and Data. Ideal candidates are strategic hunters with deep expertise in payments, retail technology, and enterprise sales. This role combines consultative selling, market expansion, and business development with the opportunity to directly impact the future of digital consumer finance.
- Drive net-new business acquisition by prospecting, nurturing, and closing Enterprise and Mid-Market retail merchants for BNPL solutions.
- Own the full sales lifecycle, including lead generation, consultative presentations, proposal development, contract negotiation, and deal closure.
- Develop and execute data-driven sales strategies focused on revenue growth, market penetration, and pipeline expansion.
- Build and maintain strategic partnerships with merchants, payment service providers (PSPs), e-commerce platforms, and digital wallet partners.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Design, Data, Risk, Marketing, Legal, and Operations teams to optimize product offerings and customer experience.
- Manage pipeline forecasting, sales reporting, KPI tracking, and revenue performance targets.
- Leverage customer insights, industry trends, and competitive intelligence to refine sales strategies and support product innovation.
- Represent the business in strategic discussions with senior retail and fintech stakeholders while strengthening long-term client relationships.
- 8–10 years of progressive sales leadership experience within the BNPL, payments, fintech, or digital commerce industry.
- Strong understanding of the BNPL ecosystem, payment technologies, retail operations, e-commerce platforms, and PSPs.
- Proven track record of exceeding ambitious sales and revenue targets in competitive, high-growth markets.
- Experience managing complex enterprise and mid-market sales cycles with consultative selling approaches.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced, rapidly evolving environments with a strong sense of ownership and initiative.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking capabilities with experience using data to drive sales performance.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field required; MBA preferred.
- Self-starter mindset with the ability to independently build pipelines and drive opportunities to close.
