Pharmacy Technician Supervisor in Kalamazoo, Michigan at Beacon Health System

Supervises the daily activities of the pharmacy technicians.

Responsibilities:
Schedules and assigns daily work assignments for pharmacy technicians and may perform the duties of a pharmacy technician.

Oversees process improvement activities.

Acts as liaison between department, other hospital departments, physicians and external customers in matters relating to pharmacy operations.

Collaborates with other disciplines to ensure that procedures and policies comply with organizational, federal, state and Board of Pharmacy rules and regulations.

Conducts hiring, training, directing, development and evaluation of staff.

Licensure / Certification / Registration:
• Required Credential(s):
• One or more of the following:
• Pharmacy Tech credentialed from the Michigan Board of Pharmacy obtained prior to hire date or job
transfer date.
• Pharmacy Tech credentialed from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) obtained prior to
hire date or job transfer date.
• Pharmacy Tech credentialed from the National Healthcareer Association obtained prior to hire date or
job transfer date.
Education:
• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's
degree/Technical degree with 1 year of experience OR 5 years of applicable cumulative job specific
experience required.
