Position Summary
The Pediatric Clinic Technician plays a key role in supporting daily clinic operations and assisting the therapy team in providing an exceptional experience for patients and families. This position is responsible for a wide range of administrative, operational, and patient support duties across speech, occupational, and physical therapy services. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, energetic, and enjoys working with children in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Essential Responsibilities
Clinic Operations & Administrative Support
-Answer incoming phone calls and assist families with general questions
-Assist with patient scheduling, appointment confirmations, and rescheduling
-Support front office operations including check-in/check-out processes
-Maintain accurate communication between therapists, families, and clinic staff
-Assist with organizing clinic materials, supplies, and treatment equipment
-Help ensure treatment rooms and common areas remain clean, organized, and fully stocked
-Support overall clinic flow and daily operational needs as assigned
Patient Support
-Greet patients and families in a welcoming and professional manner
-Bring patients to and from treatment areas as needed
-Supervise children in waiting or transition areas when appropriate
-Assist therapists with session setup, activities, equipment preparation, and cleanup
-Provide hands-on support during therapy sessions under therapist direction when appropriate
-Help maintain a safe, engaging, and positive environment for pediatric patients
Cleaning & Safety
-Sanitize toys, equipment, treatment tools, and therapy spaces throughout the day
-Follow clinic cleaning and infection control procedures
-Monitor therapy areas for safety and cleanliness standards
Qualifications
-High school diploma or equivalent required
-Previous experience working with children preferred
-Previous healthcare, therapy, daycare, or clinic experience preferred
-Strong communication and interpersonal skills
-Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
-Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset
-Comfortable being active throughout the workday, including standing, walking, lifting, and assisting with clinic setup/cleanup
Preferred Characteristics
-Friendly, patient, and dependable
-Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
-Willingness to jump in and support wherever needed
-Passion for working with pediatric populations and supporting families
Work Environment
This position works within a pediatric therapy clinic environment alongside speech therapists, occupational therapists, physical therapists, administrative staff, patients, and families. The role requires frequent movement throughout the clinic and active participation in daily operations.
