Sanitation Associate - 1st Shift 6am- 2pm in Iron Ridge, Wisconsin at PS Seasonings

This position requires a self-motivated, reliable employee to join our sanitation team reporting to the Food Safety Manager. This position supports the company’s production facility with the responsibilities that are included below.

1st shift Monday - Saturday, 8 hours days

What you’ll do:

• Daily tasks include cleaning and sanitation of the production and warehouse facility
• Clean equipment and work areas, using and mixing of cleaning solutions and hand tools
• Clean up work area and trash including products, bags, boxes
• Daily tasks may include cleaning of the office area, sweeping, mopping, garbage removal, at both office locations
• Performs other basic janitorial services to ensure the facility is clean and safe; tasks may include picking up trash, emptying receptacles, and stocking restrooms in the facility as required
• Complete daily paperwork accurately
• Operate forklift and skid loader to assist with duties
• Comply with GMP, personal hygiene, HACCP and other quality and safety programs
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, additional hours may be required on weekends
• Other duties as assigned by food safety and quality supervisor

Skills and Qualifications:

• Physical requirements include lifting to 60 lbs., bending, standing and climbing
• Ability to work independently and with a team
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Ability to use hand cleaning tools such as mops, brooms, and brushes
• Ability to use power cleaning tools such as vacuums and floor scrubbers
• Ability to follow and read instructions and use cleaning chemicals and agents properly
• Ability to learn cleaning procedures for industrial equipment
