Fine Dining Server in Cleveland, Ohio at Lago

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic server to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced fine dining environment. The ideal candidate must have 2+ years fine dining experience, have a passion for providing exceptional customer service and a strong understanding of food and beverage offerings. As a Server, you will be responsible for ensuring that guests have an enjoyable dining experience through attentive service, effective communication, and a keen eye for detail.

Responsibilities

• Present menus, provide recommendations, and answer any questions regarding food and beverage options.
• Take accurate orders using POS systems.
• Ensure timely delivery of food and drinks to tables while maintaining high standards of presentation.
• Upsell menu items to enhance the guest experience and increase sales.
• Monitor guest satisfaction throughout their meal, addressing any concerns promptly.
• Process payments accurately using cash handling procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including bussing tables and ensuring sanitation standards are met.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow during busy periods.
• Adhere to food safety guidelines and proper food handling procedures at all times.

Skills

• Previous experience in the food service industry in fine dining or nightclub settings.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to build rapport with guests.
• Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
• Familiarity with OpenTable for reservations management is a plus.
• Basic math skills for accurate order taking and payment processing.
• Knowledge of culinary practices, food preparation techniques, and sanitation standards.
• Experience as a host/host is advantageous for understanding guest relations.
