Maintenance Oiler in Auburn, Indiana at Linacast, Inc.

Performs routine servicing of machinery, including lubricating and cleaning. Assists in the maintenance,

repair and overhaul of plant machinery.

Responsibility

· Utilize and maintain proper oil levels in for plant machinery.

· Document and record the usage of oil by machine.

· Monitor usage trends to highlight machines that are developing increased usage and notify Maintenance Manager.

· General inspection of oil reservoirs to ensure proper operation.

· Clean oil reservoirs as needed to maintain oil cleanliness.

· Write work orders as needed to notify Maintenance/Manager of developing machine leaks or any other potential machine issues.

· Inspect equipment for leaks, missing guards, hoses and debris that have the potential

· Perform routine preventative maintenance (PM’s). Oil changes, filters, fans, pumps, chains, bearings.

· Control the handling of waste oil, oily socks, and hazardous material collections.

· Maintain supplies and stock and perform daily inventory.

· Repair or replace air lines as needed.

· Maintain proper housekeeping of fluids room and oil handling cart following the 5-S Cleaning System. (Sort-Set in Order-Shine-Standardize-Sustain).

· Other duties as assigned.

Academic/Educational Requirements

High School diploma or equivalent. Basic math skills. Mechanical aptitude.
