Digital Associate, Paid Media (Temporary)

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Digital Associate, Paid Media (Temporary) based in the United States.

This temporary, full-time role supports paid media programs across multiple client accounts in a fast-paced digital environment.
You will contribute to advertising campaigns across platforms including Meta, Google Search, and peer-to-peer messaging.
The position combines copywriting, creative development, campaign execution, quality assurance, and performance optimization.
You will work closely with paid media leads and creative teams to develop timely, engaging content aligned with client objectives.
The role offers hands-on exposure to digital advertising strategy, fundraising and persuasion campaigns, and rapid-response communications.
You will have opportunities to broaden your copywriting, creative, advertising, and overall digital skills while receiving supervision and training.
The assignment is scheduled through November 13, 2026, with the potential to take on additional responsibilities over time.

Accountabilities
  • Write, fact-check, and proofread high volumes of advertising and fundraising copy across paid media channels, including peer-to-peer texts, Meta ads, and Google Search ads.

  • Brainstorm and develop creative concepts based on established fundraising, advertising, and persuasion practices in collaboration with paid media leads.

  • Write direct-to-camera scripts and other short-form content designed to encourage audiences to take action.

  • Collaborate with creative teams to develop graphic and video concepts and bring approved ideas to completion.

  • Ensure advertising content accurately reflects each client's established voice, messaging, and communications objectives.

  • Develop timely advertising and messaging in response to rapidly developing news and events.

  • Support the execution of digital advertising strategies designed to meet client goals.

  • Set up and quality-assure advertising campaigns in Meta Ads Manager and Google Ads.

  • Assist with campaign optimization, monitor performance, and track advertising spend.

  • Provide short-term coverage for client communications and account needs, including attending meetings, managing follow-ups, and coordinating execution tasks.

  • Contribute to a collaborative team environment by sharing ideas and helping improve processes and work quality.

  • Perform additional responsibilities and projects as needed.

Requirements
  • Knowledge of relevant social, civic, and public-policy issues and an interest in supporting the organization's stated political and advocacy objectives.

  • Transferable experience gained through coursework, internships, a short period in a similar role, or professional experience outside the digital advertising field.

  • Familiarity with digital advertising platforms such as Facebook/Meta and Google Ads.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with demonstrated attention to clarity, accuracy, and audience.

  • Ability to manage multiple assignments, work under pressure, and consistently meet tight deadlines.

  • Interest in developing skills across copywriting, creative development, paid media, and broader digital communications.

  • Proficiency with standard computer applications and familiarity with Google Sheets and/or Microsoft Excel.

  • Ability to work extended hours when necessary, particularly during rapid-response situations.

  • Strong self-directed learning skills and willingness to develop new technical and creative capabilities.

  • Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to producing accurate, high-quality work.

  • Commitment to contributing to a respectful, inclusive, and diverse workplace.

  • Ability to collaborate effectively, accept feedback, and work constructively within a team environment.
