Position Summary

The Departmentof Anesthesiology and Critical Care Medicine at the University of New Mexico inAlbuquerque, New Mexico, invites applications for a full-time faculty positionat the rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor. Theprimary appointment will be in the Department of Anesthesiology & CriticalCare Medicine with clinical responsibilities in the Main Operating Room .Successful candidates will join a collaborative group of experiencedanesthesiologists committed to excellence in patient care, education, research,and service.

UNM Hospital isthe only Level I Trauma Center in New Mexico. Our Critical Care facilitiesinclude 192 beds, with 96 dedicated ICU beds, a 20-bed pediatric intensive careunit, 24-bed neonatal intensive care unit, 18-bed trauma surgical intensivecare unit, 6-bed burn center, and 24-bed neurosurgical intensive care unit.

The successfulcandidate will provide high-quality anesthesiology care, participate in theeducation and mentorship of learners, and contribute to departmental academicand service initiatives. Qualifications

MinimumQualifications:

• Must holdunrestricted medical license
• Must hold M.D.or equivalent
• Must be BoardCertified by the American Board of Anesthesiology or within three years ofresidency and active in the certification process

• Must haverecent and active experience taking call in level 1 or level 3 trauma centers.
