Are you an experienced Pediatric Registered Nurse looking for flexible per diem work that allows you to use your specialized clinical skills while making a meaningful difference in the lives of children and their families?

Affirmed Home Care is growing its Pediatric Division and seeking a Per Diem Pediatric RN to provide clinical support and assist our full-time Pediatric RN Care Manager with the oversight of pediatric cases throughout Westchester County.

• $55–$150 per hour, based on the nursing task and assignment

The Per Diem Pediatric RN will provide clinical oversight and support by:

• Providing high-quality, individualized nursing care to pediatric clients
• Developing and updating individualized care plans
• Obtaining required physician orders in accordance with applicable regulations
• Monitoring clients and reporting changes in medical condition to the attending physician and Agency care team
• Supervising and supporting the nursing staff assigned to pediatric cases
• Conducting weekly nursing orientations
• Performing nursing competency assessments in the office or in the client’s home, as needed
• Providing clinical guidance to caregivers and members of the nursing team
• Supporting the ongoing clinical needs of pediatric clients
• Promoting safety, comfort, independence, and quality of life in the home
• Completing accurate and timely clinical documentation

• Current New York State RN license in good standing
• Current BLS certification
• BSN preferred
• Minimum 2 years of recent pediatric clinical home care experience

Candidates should have recent, hands-on experience with advanced pediatric nursing skills, including:

• Pediatric ventilator management
• Tracheostomy care
• G-tube/PEG tube care
• IV infusions
• Wound care

• Strong clinical assessment and documentation skills
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Effective time-management skills
• Ability to work independently in a field-based environment
• Experience supervising and supporting clinical staff
• Strong attention to detail
• Professional, compassionate, and client-focused approach

Candidates must provide current documentation, including:

• Physical examination completed within the past year
• PPD or QuantiFERON-TB test completed within the past year, or a chest X-ray completed within the past five years
• MMR immunization completed within the past 10 years
